Tower Placement 101: Stop Losing on Wave Ten

Most tower defence losses aren't about which tower you built — they're about where you built it. If waves keep leaking through around wave ten, your problem is almost always geometry, not gold.

Think in terms of coverage overlap. A single tower covering one bend does little. Two towers whose ranges overlap at a corner create a kill zone where enemies spend the most time in fire. Corners and long straights are prime real estate; place there before anything else.

Layer your towers by role. Slowing effects up front stretch out the enemy line, damage in the middle does the work, and a burst tower at the exit cleans up stragglers. Reversing that order wastes your slow effect entirely, which is a mistake I made for years.

Finally, leave a little gold unspent going into a boss wave. Being able to drop a reactive tower or upgrade mid-fight has saved my runs more times than I can count. Discipline beats a full board of scattered towers every time.
